Kızılcahamam Roman Bath

The Roman Bath, located near the Büyük Kaplıca, is today accessed through a low-arched entrance and consists of three main sections: a changing room, bathing areas, and pools. Originally composed of seven interconnected sections, four of these were demolished during the construction of the new spa building. The quality of the thermal waters is considered to be equivalent to that of the Büyük Kaplıca.

Elmadağ Skı Resort

The nearest ski resort to Ankara for winter tourism is on the northern slope of Elmadağ and near Yakupabdal village. The altitude of Elmadağ Ski Resort is approximately 1.500-1.800 metres, and its average snow depth is between 30-60 cm. Its total track length is 700 metres and is treeless. It has two tele skis with a length of 300 and 650 metres. The average number of days that snow remains on the ground is 105. It is generally available for skiing between January and March. At the ski resort, there is a touristic facility with a restaurant and cafeteria called Elmadağ Mountain House as well as facilities built by certain institutions and organizations for their employees.

Hoşebe Caravan Site

The tomb of Hoş Ebe, after whom it is named, is also located here. Used as a day-trip picnic spot, the area is suitable for caravan tourism. The area, which is the natural habitat of the juniper bird, is also home to other bird species. The monumental juniper trees in this region create a sight worth seeing. The area has social facilities and children's parks. The surroundings also offer suitable places for camping and nature walks. It is also a suitable area for photosafari and bird watching activities.

Andız Plateau

It is located 30 km from Nallıhan district. It is near Beydilli village. There is no infrastructure on the plateau where villagers graze their animals. There is a fountain built by the forest administration. Surrounded by black pine forests, the plateau is ideal for hiking and camping.

Uğur Mumcu Park

At the garden, set up on a 90 thousand square metres area, an ecological approach has been taken in selection of materials used in the entertainment and recreational areas and energy production. There is a festival site, grass amphitheatre and concert hall on the garden. Bicycle and running tracks, rest and sitting areas, sports areas have been built on the site. Its playground which has been constructed entirely out of wood and its observatory situated at the garden’s highest point makes the site stand out.

Ankara City Hospital

Ankara City Hospital is the biggest hospital built at once in Europe and the third largest hospital in the world. It was opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with a ceremony. The hospital is one of the world’s leading health centres and consists of hospitals, each of which is specialized in its field. Within Ankara City Hospital, operating in a health campus, there are 8 separate hospitals with 1 million 312 thousand square meters of closed area. In addition to the general hospital, there are Cardiovascular Diseases Hospital, Neurological Sciences and Orthopaedic Hospital, Child Health and Diseases Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Gynaecology and Maternity Hospital, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital, High Security Forensic Psychiatry Hospital and it has a total of 3 thousand 704 beds for patients. The hospital also has 674 intensive care beds and an infrastructure that can serve intensive care patients at all levels.

Ankara Castle

Ankara Castle has been structurally reinforced and preserved through extensive restoration and renewal works in recent years. The outer fortifications follow a quadrangular plan and include approximately 20 towers. The castle has two main historical gates: the Outer Castle Gate to the west and the Hisar Gate to the south. The Ilkhanid-era Persian inscription dated 1330 above the Hisar Gate is still visible today. The inner castle was constructed partially with Ankara stone and partially with mixed masonry materials. Its walls vary between 14–16 meters in height, and according to up-to-date information, 42 pentagon-shaped towers (bastions) line the inner walls. Historic Ankara houses dating from at least the 17th century, mosques (including Alaeddin Mosque), fountains, and other civil architectural elements inside the castle remain standing. Through recent restoration practices, architectural authenticity has been preserved while ensuring long-term structural durability, turning the castle into both a heritage monument and a living cultural and tourism center in Ankara.

The Presidential Symphony Orchestra

The Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) Ada Ankara is one of the most prominent symbols reflecting the cultural and artistic identity of the capital. Şeyhahmetli Village

It is 13 km away from the Polatlı-Yunak Highway and 70 km from the district centre in the Hacımusa Stream Valley, fed by the slopes of the Mermer Mountains in the southeast of Polatlı. It is close to Yağcıoğlu, Hacımusa, Sincik, Yeşilöz, Uzunbeyli neighbourhoods and TİGEM Farm. The region has been inhabited since the Phrygians. There is a Phrygian rock tomb on Mermerkaya Hill at an altitude of 1,020 meters. On Mermer Plateau, there are settlements belonging to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. There are caves carved for shelter and worship on the slopes of the Marble Mountains overlooking the Hacı Musa Stream. There are plenty of ancient traces from the Roman Period in the old neighbourhood cemetery. In addition, there are caves of 300-400 square meters in the quarter. Also there are caves for shelter on the slopes of the Old Şeyhahmetli Plateau.

Hacıtuğrul Mound

It is located 22 kilometres east of the ancient Gordion site, at the 60th kilometer of Ankara Polatlı Highway and between Hacıtuğrul Village and the Yenidoğan Train Station. It is one of the largest mounds in Turkey. Excavations in the tumulus revealed andesite stone walls and ceramics better qualified than those made by the Phrygians. The finds are generally close to the Gordion art.
