Martyrdom Monument of Sakarya

The monument is in Şehitlerkaşıtepe in Polatlı. The body of the monument starts at an altitude of 915 meters and goes up to 970 meters. You need to climb to a height of approximately 55 meters by stairs to reach the monument. In the beginning, the stairs are quite steep, space between the columns are narrow. However, as you progress, climbing up the stairs gets easier. In this climb, the difficulties on the first days of the war were expressed with steep stairs, and the ease of the stairs after a while represents the victory of the war. Besides, the tough steps of the stairs symbolise the anxiety of both the armed forces and the state of the nation after the Ottoman Empire was defeated in the First World War. With the decrease in the inclination of the stairs, the enlargement of the pillars and the widening between them express the new power created by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Anatolia and the enlightenment of the dark horizon as a result of this power.

Kirmir Stream Valley

Kirmir Stream, formed by the merger of Öz (Belen) Stream and Bayındır(Pazar) Stream in the town of Çeltikçi, passes through Güdül and Beypazar and reaches Sarıyar Dam Lake. The stream is fed by Süvari Stream, Sazık Stream and İlhan Stream. Kirmir Stream Valley is suitable for photosafari and nature walks.

Ayaş Thermal Springs

There are spas and thermal hotels in the district borders of Ayaş including the Historical Paşa Bath, which is located in Ayaş district centre and dates back to the 17th century, and Historical Karakaya Hot Spring from the Seljuks. The water of the hot spring, which can be used as medicinal drinking water, is said to be good for the elimination of stomach, intestinal and liver laziness, the shedding of gallstones and kidney stones and sands, the treatment of urinary tract inflammations, the shedding of digestive system parasites, constipation, and indigestion. It is also known to help excrete toxins found in the blood. When used as a hot spring, it helps treat rheumatism, lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, neuritis, polyneuritis, and gynaecological diseases. The hot springs have separate pools for men and women. Many new private thermal facilities have been opened in and around Ayaş, and some facilities are under construction.

Educator Nuray Yeşil Museum

The Kızılcahamam Municipality 100th Year Educator Nuray Yeşil Museum was opened in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the district’s founding. The museum exhibits include the historical texture of Kızılcahamam, endangered traditional professions, handwritten Qur‘ans, identity cards, marriage certificates, Ottoman Turkish manuscripts, various books, magazines, land deeds, newspaper articles, an Atatürk corner, thematic reenactments, and many other objects, documents, and elements
