Uluçay Stream, which is fed by the waters of Işık Mountain range and the slopes of Semerözü and Yıldırım Mountain, is the main branch of Devrez Stream in Kızılcahamam. There are Semer and Ortaköy plateaus in Semerozu region, which is close to the provincial border of Çankırı and has an altitude of approximately 1,600 meters. Archaeological sites and artifacts from the Ottoman period are seen in the region, which has been inhabited since ancient times. This region was called Semerözü in the Ottoman Period. Güldürcek Dam was built for flood protection and irrigation on the Kızılcahamam- Orta border. Devrez Stream, which has a length of 211 kilometres in the east-west direction, passes through Orta-Kurşunlu-Ilgaz districts and reaches Kızılırmak. Semer village is 44 kilometres away from Kızılcahamam district centre, and Orta town is 45 kilometres away. With its dense forest cover, the Semerözü region is suitable for trekking and tent camping.
