Located on Denizciler Street in the Ulus district, the Sebilürreşad Magazine Museum was established through the restoration of the historic Sus (Sümer) Cinema. It has been revived as a cultural memory site in this area where Mehmed Âkif Ersoy spent time between 1920 and 1923. Granted “private museum” status by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the center holds the distinction of being the world’s first magazine museum. Featuring a unique collection that sheds light on the history of periodical publishing in Türkiye, the museum includes magazine archives, first issues, thematic exhibition areas, and spaces for cultural events.
