You can go to Kesikköprü Dam, which is located in the area of Bâlâ district, after passing Gölbaşı on the Ankara-Konya Highway direction, turning from the Beynam Forests sign in the direction of Bala. A beautiful forest road takes you to the reservoir. Some very rare birds live in Beynam Forests. Dam lake is suitable for water sports as well as for swimming. You can try fun sports like surfing, water skiing, and diving. Kesikköprü Dam Lake goes as deep as 29 meters, and it has no bottom mud. The water temperature is 18 degrees in July. There are facilities of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality on the shore of the reservoir. Since there is little wooded area around the lake, it is useful to take a sun umbrella with you to enjoy the lake since the lake beaches can be crowded. There is a kiosk by the lake, but basic needs can be met from Kesikköprü.
