This dish is prepared to make use of leftover stale bread. The bread is placed in a suitable bowl and moistened with meat broth, if available, or with water. Separately, eggs are cooked in oil, then onions, tomato paste, two tablespoons of flour, and a small amount of çemen are added. Meat broth is poured in and the mixture is brought to a boil. Once boiling, crushed garlic is added, and the mixture is poured over the moistened stale bread. The dish is traditionally consumed with ayran. Garlic and çemen are the key ingredients that give the dish its distinctive flavor
