Yellow Burma Dessert

Recipe

Sarı burma, prepared using the same ingredients as baklava dough, differs from baklava in that it is made with fewer dough portions. Six or eight dough balls are rolled out, with generous amounts of walnuts sprinkled between the layers, and then rolled into a log shape. The rolls are arranged in a tray and baked in the oven. After baking, warm syrup is poured over the hot dessert. This rolled pastry, shaped to resemble a turban, was historically referred to as sarık burma or sarım burma; today, it is commonly known as sarı burma
