Recipe
To prepare Kül Çöreği, flour is first placed in a mixing bowl, to which oil, egg, water, baking soda, and a measured amount of salt are added. These ingredients are kneaded into a firm dough. Four to five thin sheets (yufka) are rolled out from the dough and layered on top of one another. The layered dough is then transferred to a round tray and shaped into a loaf similar to a traditional bread form. Subsequently, it is buried in the ashes of oak wood and baked. Once cooked, it is sliced and served.
