Recipe
This is a traditional dessert prepared using stale Kalecik Bread. Kalecik Bread, which can be stored in the refrigerator for 20–25 days without becoming stale, begins to harden after this period and is then used to make the dessert. In a pan, one tablespoon of butter, one cup of Kalecik Karası grape molasses, and half a cup of water are combined and brought to a boil. The bread is sliced and added to the mixture, cooking together for approximately five minutes before being transferred to a serving dish. The dessert is traditionally garnished with tahini, walnuts, and clotted cream (kaymak) before serving.
