About
Established to comprehensively introduce the history and current status of the Gendarmerie Organization and to pass this military cultural heritage on to future generations, the Gendarmerie Museum was opened to visitors on November 21, 2005. On the ground floor of the museum, there is an exhibition hall dedicated to the Ottoman Empire period, while the first floor houses exhibition halls related to the Republican period. These halls present the historical development of the Gendarmerie Organization in chronological order through period-specific weapons, uniforms, photographs, and informational panels
