There are spas and thermal hotels in the district borders of Ayaş including the Historical Paşa Bath, which is located in Ayaş district centre and dates back to the 17th century, and Historical Karakaya Hot Spring from the Seljuks. The water of the hot spring, which can be used as medicinal drinking water, is said to be good for the elimination of stomach, intestinal and liver laziness, the shedding of gallstones and kidney stones and sands, the treatment of urinary tract inflammations, the shedding of digestive system parasites, constipation, and indigestion. It is also known to help excrete toxins found in the blood. When used as a hot spring, it helps treat rheumatism, lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, neuritis, polyneuritis, and gynaecological diseases. The hot springs have separate pools for men and women. Many new private thermal facilities have been opened in and around Ayaş, and some facilities are under construction.
