Şeyh Ali Samarkandi is believed to be a descendant of the Islamic Caliph Hz. Ömer (R.A.) and lived in the 14th and 15th centuries. His tomb is in the park named after him. The tomb is built of masonry stone and its roof is tile-covered. The structure has a square plan. There is a large sarcophagus of Sheikh Ali Semerkandi, renovated with pine and hornbeam trees, right across the entrance door. In addition, there are ten wooden sarcophagi belonging to his followers, seven on the right of the entrance and three on the left. The main walls of the building are made of rubble stone. The jambs of he windows and the main door, the triangular pediment and corners of the main building are of smooth cut stone. The entrance to the building is through a double-winged wooden door adorned with a triangular stone pediment. The ceiling of the building is coated with wood. Inside the octagonal ceiling, there is a circular wooden ceiling core. The interior walls are plastered and whitewashed. There are social facilities, a mosque and Şeyh Ali Samarkandi Museum in the park area. Nearby the park are Aluçdağı Natural Park, Çamkoru Natural Park and Çamlıdere district centre.
