About

Located in the Ulus district, the former building of the National Estate and Orphans Bank was renovated and opened as the PTT Stamp Museum in 2013. Recognized as a prominent stamp museum on a global scale, the venue offers insight into the history of communication and exhibits various materials used in postal services from past to present. In addition to showcasing artifacts that shed light on Turkish history, the museum’s collection includes stamps from both the Ottoman and Republican periods. The museum also features stamps themed around Atatürk, history, tourism, nature, sports, vehicles, and cultural heritage, as well as children’s stamps, international stamps, postcards, first-day covers, and commemorative envelopes
