About
The statue made of Ankara stone is located at Güvenpark in Kızılay. It was built by Prof. Holzmeister, Prof. Anton Hanlak and Prof. JosephThorak in 1935. The monument, built as a gift of Turkish people to the police and gendarmerie, includes various reliefs symbolizing these security forces, sculptures of Atatürk and his comrades in arms during the War of Independence and reform movement, reliefs symbolizing the human intellect and agricultural works of farmers.
