Located in Ayaş Municipal Square, the Ayaş Grand Mosque is the oldest and largest mosque in Ayaş. Although no inscription has survived, the mosque is dated to the 15th century based on its architectural characteristics. The building has a longitudinal rectangular plan and features rubble stone masonry walls reinforced with wooden tie beams. Originally covered with an earthen roof, the structure was later fitted with a hipped roof clad with traditional Turkish tiles.
