Located next to the Sheikh Ali Semerkandi Complex, the museum offers glimpses into life in 15th-century Çamlıdere. Constructed using mud made from a mixture of earth and straw, the museum’s walls are built with adobe and earth plaster over stone. The foundation layer is treated with wild plum resin applied over the mud to prevent the soil from loosening. The upper ceilings are reinforced against rain by aligning wooden poles and layering willow leaves between them, creating a durable and weather-resistant structure. In the garden of the Semerkandi House Museum, special areas have been created where visitors -both children and adultscan plant and harvest vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and potatoes. This hands-on experience offers a meaningful way to relive memories of traditional rural life.
