Çubuk 2 dam, which is used to meet the water needs of Ankara and Çubuk district, is approximately 6 km away from Çubuk district. It is located in the north. The dam is 61 meters higher than the creek bed. The lake volume at normal water level is 24.60 square hectometers. The total lake area is 1.2 square kilometres. Mendek, Kışla, Bağırcan Çayır and Hacıkadın streams feed the dam lake. Çubuk 2 Dam is also used as a recreation and picnic area. The entrance of the dam and the surrounding of the lake were afforested and offered to the people of the district and Ankara.
