About
In the village of Taşlıca, a district of Kızılcahamam, there is the tomb of Kırmızı Ebe. The tomb of his son Oruç Gazi is also next to hers. It is believed that Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat stopped by this village during his campaign to Başköy Castle and Kırmızı Ebe offered ayran to sultan’s soldiers. It is known that the name “Anatolia” emerged because of a dialogue that took place during this event. The stone vessel from which the soldiers filled their cups with ayran is also near the tomb.
