About

It is located in the small square between the old Revenue and the Governorship offices in Ulus. The 15-meter-long column, which rises on a square base, was built of circular bricks put on top of each other and has a Byzantine Period Corinthian head at the top. It is predicted that the column was built in 362 B.C. in honour of Emperor Julianus’ visit to Ankara.
