About
Alicin Monastery, located on the slope of Hamam Stream in the town of Çeltikçi, is accessible via the Kızılcahamam–Güdül highway. The monastery, carved into a steep rocky hillside, can be reached by ascending from the valley floor. Constructed of conglomerate stone and brick, the structure bears architectural similarities to the Sümela Monastery and is evaluated as dating to the Byzantine period.
