About

It was believed that preserving grainrelated items in a museum setting would serve as an expression of gratitude toward the land that provides our daily bread and the people who endure the hardships of this work. Additionally, establishing a farmer-grain- office museum, which is rare in the world, and protecting our cultural heritage were considered responsibilities toward both future generations and the relevant community. With this aim, items were collected from various regions of the country, particularly from rural TMO (Turkish Grain Board) Auxiliary Facilities, and were prepared for display in accordance with museum standards. As a result, the TMO Museum was established in 2009.
