The mosque, located in Anafartalar Street in Ulus district, has a stone base, a brick body, and a tile roof. The wooden ceiling, pulpit, mihrab and facade layout of the building, made with “kasetleme” work, which was the typical walling technique for the late period mosques of Ankara, bear the characteristics of the 17th century. The harem section, which is entered through a single door in the north, has a single nave. An inscription in the mosque reveals that it was repaired between 1870 and 1880. On the inscription it reads “The mosque got built by Şeyhülislam Mehmet Emin Efendi from Ankara was repaired by Ankara Governor Hurşit Pasha in 1870-1880”.
