Seyyid Abdülhakim Arvasi, one of the scholars and sufis of the last century, was born in 1865 in Başkale borough of Van province, died on 27 November 1943 and was buried in Bağlum Cemetery as per his will. As well as letters of the size of a tractate he sent to his students, has wrote poems in Arabic, Persian and Turkish.
