Commissioned in the late 19th century by Ankara Governor Abidin Pasha during the final years of the Ottoman Empire, the Abidin Pasha Mansion was opened to the public on January 20, 2024, as Türkiye’s first digital national struggle museum, through the initiative of the Çankaya Municipality. During the years of the National Struggle, the mansion served as a military training ground for officers, making it a historic war school in its own right. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to learn about historical events through immersive experiences using interactive digital applications, hologram technology, and period reenactments. Open to visitors of all ages, the Abidin Pasha Mansion National Struggle Museum also features specially designed digital play areas for children. As an innovative cultural and educational venue, the museum provides a powerful sense of the spirit of the War of Independence.
