About

Kurşunlu Mosque, situated on sloping terrain descending from north to south, was constructed in 1685 AD (1096 AH), according to the inscription above its entrance door. The building has a nearly square rectangular plan. The narthex (son cemaat yeri) is covered with three domes, supported by four columns with capitals featuring transitions formed by Turkish triangles. The mihrab was executed using the stucco molding technique and is ornamented with borders adorned with rumi motifs, as well as relief decorations featuring rosettes and wheel-of-fortune (çarkıfelek) motifs.
