About
Boğazkesen Mausoleum, located in the Ayvaşık Quarter at the entrance to İnözü Valley, is a square-plan structure covered with a dome. Cut rubble stone and brick were used in its construction. As the mausoleum does not bear a construction inscription, it is dated to the 13th–14th centuries. Although the identities of the two graves within the mausoleum are unknown, it is traditionally stated that one of the graves is believed to belong to an individual named Emir Şahmer Pasha.
