About

The building was constructed in 1927 during the First National Architectural Period (1908-1930), encompassing the early years of the Republic. It served as a law school between 1928 and 1941 and was opened as the Ankara Foundation Works Museum on May 7, 2007. The museum, which exhibits carpets, kilims, woodwork, metalwork, manuscripts, tiles, and leather, houses rare pieces such as wooden artifacts from the 13th and 14th centuries, as well as 16th-century manuscripts, tiles, and carpets. The museum also houses a Multi-Purpose Exhibition Hall, which hosts both traditional and modern temporary exhibitions for cultural purposes.
