About
This is the house in Beynam village, located in the Balâ district, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the members of the Representative Committee stayed overnight on December 26, 1919, the day before their arrival in Ankara. The building is a single-storey structure situated within a garden. On the right side of the corridor, where photographs of Atatürk and the Turkish War of Independence are displayed, there is a room arranged as a reading room. On the left side of the corridor, a hall exhibits some of Atatürk’s personal belongings. The building, faithfully restored to its original form, was opened to visitors in 2004.
