Located in Hacımemi neighbourhood in Ayaş, Aktaş Mosque displays the characteristics of 16-17th century architecture. The mosque has a hipped roof and a wooden minaret; its body is covered with rubble masonry and wood. The rubble stones are calcined with a white layer of mortar. There are wooden girders inside the walls. The roof is covered with Turkish style tiles. The prayer room of the mosque, which has a rectangular plan, is split into three naves with two rows of wooden pillars that are vertical to the mihrab. The plastered mihrab on the kiblah wall has a low relief typical to mosques of Ankara. There are three windows on the eastern front and two on the southern front. There are windows on two sides of the door that is on the northern front. There is a rectangular niche embedded in the door. It is beleieved that the niche was used for placing inscriptions.
