It is 13 km away from the Polatlı-Yunak
Highway and 70 km from the district centre
in the Hacımusa Stream Valley, fed by
the slopes of the Mermer Mountains in the
southeast of Polatlı. It is close to Yağcıoğlu,
Hacımusa, Sincik, Yeşilöz, Uzunbeyli neighbourhoods
and TİGEM Farm. The region has
been inhabited since the Phrygians. There is
a Phrygian rock tomb on Mermerkaya Hill
at an altitude of 1,020 meters. On Mermer
Plateau, there are settlements belonging to
the Hellenistic and Roman periods. There are
caves carved for shelter and worship on the
slopes of the Marble Mountains overlooking
the Hacı Musa Stream. There are plenty
of ancient traces from the Roman Period in
the old neighbourhood cemetery. In addition,
there are caves of 300-400 square meters in
the quarter. Also there are caves for shelter on
the slopes of the Old Şeyhahmetli Plateau.
