The recreation area “Kuzey Yıldızı”, built by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality on the Esenboğa Airport road within the scope of the Northern Ankara Urban Transformation Project, has an area of approximately 7 thousand square meters, 400 thousand square meters of which is green area and the remaining area consists of social facilities. There are many artificial lakes and ponds, volleyball and basketball courts, sports equipment, running tracks, playgrounds, and a science centre in the area. There are also an amphitheatre, restaurants, cafes, many patisseries, fast food restaurants, grocery stores, a wedding hall, guest house, reception halls, a school, a mosque and a health centre.
